I think this cat was cut because he doesn't really fit a 3-4 defense. Played college ball at OHIO STATE which will get the attention of the Bills FO.

Great size at 6'4 245. Started 14 games in 07-08 season and recorded 97 tackles, 1 sack and 3 picks.

I think he could be a great pick up as a SLB in our Cover 2.

Would be a good veteran backup/possible starter material pick up.

Plus he's only 28 and was born here, so he has roots.

He never started a game from 2003-2006, apparently became a starter in 2007, then started only 7 games in 2008.

But he might be a good veteran pickup for the right price.

Could he beat out Ellison, Bowen and Harris? Or, beat out Digi or Pat Thomas?

A team cuts their trash before training camp cuts even begin and we want to start them? And it's not like it's the Steelers either. We really are ready to get rid of Ellison aren't we?

Might work out for us. As stated above he is 28 and hasnt had alot of contact so he should be fresh and ready for a beating. If he doesnt start he will be an up grade from our current 2,3 strings...

i think he'd be good for depth. injuries can come into play and he'd be a solid addition.

We now know he could beat out Digi.

We now know he could beat out Digi.OK, I guess it's time to rephrase the question... could he be a utility guy? Like the first guy of the bench at all three spots? Or, more specifically, could be be a MLB if Poz is injured?

One thing I hated about Wilhelm was the high 5 to Santonio Holmes after Santonio scored a TD against the Chargers in the Playoffs... Bad Tackler

We need a good socket wrench type guy in the LB Corp

Matt Wilhelm is too honest, too much of a linebacker to not acknowledge what he almost let slip away.

After his best performance of the season Monday night against the Jets, Wilhelm acknowledged he stepped up his game as the shadow of Tim Dobbins threatened to engulf Wilhelm's playing time.

"It drives me," Wilhelm said. "The biggest thing is it's almost like I got complacent being the starter. I never realized until it came that there was heat from behind, from Tim."

he said some stupid stuff last season

but in 07 he played good

if somehow you could keep him motivated, he'd be good

but players getting complacent, even when their team is struggling, is disgusting

I bet the Bills FO doesn't even know he's available.
