All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
This is only a test
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

3. Just my opinion, but backup tackle Demetrius Bell could be the next Jason Peters with Buffalo. A seventh-round draft pick in 2008, Bell is raw, talented and scary good. He could serve as a swing tackle this season and has been taking turns in camp at guard. But you can book this: The guy will push for a starting job before long. He is too good to keep down. The Bills absolutely love him and think he has the ability to make it big. Bell is the son of former NBA great Karl Malone.
There are worse things than continuosly taking 7th round/undrafted players and trading them for a 1st and a 4th.

it is rare that a whole oline stays healthy all season.. so it is great to hear that we have a couple options at tackle if the injury bug hits... chambers has played very well at RT when needed.. obviously Walker could switch back to RT.. and bell sounds like he could play at LT if necessary.. Wood also gives up some options, as well as hartgardner.. both can play guard or center.. so i feel pretty good about our options..

The first time I saw Bell play in the pre-season games last year I was surprised with how well he pass-blocked. It seemed he had the natural talent and athleticism for the position. Hopefully he will continue to develop and also get better in the run game.
I do think the nucleus is there for a solid O line for years to come but I think it needs time. I am hoping they will be solid by the second half of the year but realistically they will need a year of experience and working together to become a line we feel good about.
