Brian Orakpo, the defensive end that many Bills fans here were hoping the team would select (not me, I wanted Maybin)- signed a 5-year deal that includes $12.1 million in guarentees.

I don't know where Maybin stands in his negotiation right now, for some reason it's being kept extremely tight-lipped.

As stated above, I was one of the few hoping we'd draft him, although from what little I heard he wasn't overly impressive in any pre-camp functions.

I still like him though, but he really needs to get here soon, and I'm hoping he's not a fancier, higher priced 2009 version of Chris Ellis.

I dont expect much from him this season to begin with. He has a very steep learning curve compared to other rookies.

i'm hoping maybin will be a cornelius bennett/Bruce Smith Hybrid since he's going to drop into LB packages at times. How awesome would that be?

What kind of frankenstein football player would that be?

essentially we are talking about a Terrell Suggs type player, who can drop into pass coverage?

I don't think Maybin will be that type of player. He clearly is going to be a pass rush specialist, and that's it. He will certainly make the run defense better, IF he gets past the line. That is the main question with him, that no one ever made about Smith or Bennett.

You have really gone out on a limb with your credibility about Maybin. I think the guy is going to be very Whitneresque at best. That isn't going to cut it.
