All the work we put into it last year we couldn’t use it with Jason (Peters) coming in late and having to learn how we do it.

thats the problem with this team. We have no plan B and when we do, it sucks.

We have a problem with Peters, we 're screwed.
Josh Reed goes down, we're screwed.
Our safety and our cb's goes down. We're screwed.
Our Qb goes does down , we're screwed.
      Schobel wen't down, we're screwed.

The pats almost never have this problem.

I see what you're getting at... I mean look what happened when Brady went down... Cassel came out and did just as good imo

why didnt they just sit Peters? If the teamed worked that hard to add the no-huddle to the offense i'd want to beable to see it happen.

That is because they stock the bench and special teams with able players. Think about it... Fred Taylor, Galloway will be great for a supporting cast. The FO and Coaching staff of the pats understand it all starts in the draft and they not only draft the best palyer on the board that fits their needs they also draft for the supporting roles if and when things go south.

I will say the past two years we have done a better job at building the backend of the roster.

IMO they have great coaches. The coaches come up with the best plan and use proven schemes.

JUst like when Brady first came in when Drew went down, it was supposed to be the end for the Patriots.

Then Brady goes down and Cassel wasn't an able player. The story is the same but different qb's. Their coaches found ways and plays to overcome those injuries to their starting qb.

Antwain Smith was a crappy rb and they made him able.

Seau was done , they made him able and at times made him an able HB.

The list goes on and on with them.

belichick doesn't seem to want to have an identity as a coach who does X. He does whatever is needed for his team. if his team has offensive strengths, he lets them play offensively.

Jauron isn't like that. his philosophy is cover 2, strong defense, minimal offense. he rarely knows how to change when he doesn't have the personnel. that's what makes this year so dangerous. we are clearly well stocked on offense, but we need the line to come together. does he have the know-how on getting that done.

he seems to always get in his own way.

Dude, when I'm playing Madden and the opposing computer controlled team as decent CBs and are generating a good pass rush, I throw more balls to the flats.

it really is that simple folks...

of course it's not the K-Gun. Marchibroda and Levy had the confidence in Kelly to call his own plays in the no huddle offense. this coaching staff, nor any other coaching staff, doesn't have the confidence in letting Edwards calling his own plays and i don't blame them.

I don't know if they don't have the confidence in Edwards or if it's just that their afraid if they give him the chance to call the plays that he will call them better than Turk does. Trent is a smart guy and knows how to manage a team, but when he is so handcuffed by the play calling it makes him bad.

i'm not, nor wasn't, a big Jim Kelly fan but Edwards is no Jim Kelly. not at this stage of his career anyways.
