I'm almost sure you'll see Rhodes and Jackson in the backfield at the same time several times vs. the pats.

It's great having a veteran like Rhodes on the team who knows wtf is going on for blocking and what not.

I agree. He's a huge pickup at this point. The option of putting Jackson split out wide the first three games is still there since Rhodes can be trusted in the backfield.

I think we're over rating Mr. Rhodes. Looking closely at his career he's had about 8 one hundred yard rushing games of which 5 came in his rookie season. While I contend he's a solid back up and a pretty good receiver out of the backfield I'm not sure how long he'll be around after Lynch's suspension is over.

I don't think anybody is expecting him to do much more after Lynch's suspension is over other than come in to give Lynch and Jackson a breather. Even in that situation, it's a huge advantage to have a vet that knows what he is doing over a raw RB whose going to miss assignments, cutback lanes, etc. One bad play is all that's needed to end a drive.

I'm surprised that Dick didn't call a timeout before thinking about who should be the starter while Lynch is out...

I don't think anyone's overrating him. It's more a statement of the quality we see in our 3rd string RB. Is he a star? No. But how many third-string RB's have even had 100-yard games in their careers?

Exactly. He's been in a committee essentially his entire career. He still has plenty of miles left.

I am sure he will be around for the remainder of the season after Lynch comes back. Why would we cut him?

Would you carry 3 RBs of that caliber in Madden?

Rhodes should still get lots of playing time.

It's a 2 headed monster until Lynch returns.

No surprise there. I like this kid.

Jackson and Rhodes will be just fine until Lynch comes back. By then, the O-line should be better and everyone else will be hitting their stride. It could be a big boost if we can somehow win at least one game Lynch is out.

I'm gonna go on record and predict that Jackson has 100 yd rushing games in 2 outta 3 games. He isn't just a good backup, he is a great rb, and I can't wait to see him get this opp. BTW, he's on MY fantasy team.
