looked at mikey's excellent pics and was just curious, "are all the practices being conducted in the throwback helmets?" Also, is that how they've normally done it the last couple years?

No. They have been practicing in both helmets. On the night practices, they use the throwbacks and sometimes in the regular practices, they use the throwbacks. But mainly they use the regular helmets...

ok. thanks. i was getting a little excited that maybe they'd surprise us with a full year of usage in the throwbacks. i realize they can't waste all the marketing gimmicks in one year, but that would have been excellent. toss the donahoe pajama's aside

I'd love for them to go to the throwback full time and then produce a red jersey with the same design. That way they still get the marketing gimmick, cause a red throwback would be sick.

They can stick with the throwbacks full time in my book as long as they bring back stripey on the white helmet. **** that grazing, stagnant red buffalo.

The red helmets were introduced so Joe Ferguson could distinguish between them and the Pats and Dolphins helmets. I think that ship has sailed.
