All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

with the stipulation that he doesn't get to move them? They are close to Hamilton, Tommy G. doesn't want the Sabres, Balsillie will probably be willing to over pay and the best part, It sounds like Balsillie WANTS to win and will be willing to do what it takes and the 2nd best part, Sun tan man will be gone.
That is why he does not buy them. He wants a team in Hamilton, not close to Hamilton. He tried to buy them a few years ago and TG shot him down because he was going to move them.
Well, it should be pretty obvious to him by now that the NHL isn't going to let him get a team in Hamilton...doesn't Hamilton still have to renovate thier stadium? I don't see why he is so hung on Hamilton...Is he from there?
Why doesn't he buy them and move like 2 -4 games to Hamilton?
I would be totally for that. Hamilton unlike Toronto is a hardworkworking blue collar town just like Buffalo that would appreciated the team. Not the Snobby looking down on you Toronto.
Basille would focus more on fielding a winning team.
This would also ensure no team moves into Hamilton to possibly damage the Sabres market.
Without looking it up, doesn't the arena at Hamilton need to be renovated? Balsillie/Hamilton have to sink millions into an arena that would only get a handful of games a year. I doubt it. Maybe my idea is bad.

I'm surprised that Kanas City or Las Vegas haven't bid on the Coyotes. These two cities are crying they want NHL so badly well Phoenix is there for the taking. Kansas City has a new arena which is ready for the NHL the Sprint Center http://www.sprintcenter.com/default.asp?id=79 which will have a pre-season game played there the Kings will take on the Islanders. Also Hartford says they want hockey back also.

It's because the NHL owners will never give those cities a team if they try to move an organization that the NHL has repeatedly stated it doesn't want to move.
if the situation was reversed and the team was in hamilton and we had a rich guy like basille who was a buffalo guy who had the money to bring the team to us, i doubt he'd want to buy something he wants for his hometown and agree not to move. even just bringing a couple games to buffalo wouldn't really do.
i'm slowly drinking the koolaid for the sabres season. the few moves they made added grit, and they got rid of teppo, the old man. if the young defensemen can step up, who knows what can happen.
I know, i'm beginning to sound like i work for their front office.
