It doesnt look that thick. I was expecting a 2 inch thick padding or something. It looks the same as the astroturf, just darker green.

The markings under the turf are there for the benefit of the QB's who get planted. As for the thickness, it's almost twice as thick as the AstroTurf carpet, when you factor in the mat underneath.

The first picture is an example of the padding. That is that extra shock pad, not the pavement. :D

First, the field doesn't look all that thick because they still need to fluff the blades of grass...this will be done when it is completely in. This will give the effect of the turf looking like grass. As for the helmet being missing, thank God! I always thought it looked cheesy with that helmet...the logo by itself will look a ton better!

It looks good and will be much better to play on. Now I'm waiting for them to give us heated outdoor seats. That way when the fans are all sitting down they could turn the heat up to burn your a55es and everybody would have to stand and scream!
