It has been communicated to me through the chain of command at One Bills Drive that the Buffalo Bills stand by their original statement (http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2009/07/28/bills-not-interested-in-acquiring-vick/) that the team has no interest in adding Michael Vick to the roster at this time.

i agree, the "at this time" makes it more speculative. maybe this is the dance the team does with the vick camp to lower his price. maybe they feel like there isn't much competition for the guy and they can get him cheaper than what he's asking for. So they roll that statement out there to see if the vick camp bites.

That's the art of the negotiation....if indeed this is a negotiation tactic.

they might really mean it. they don't have any interest unless the bills lose all four quarterbacks against the bears. then they would be interested.

I don't know, Mikey...because they keep saying that, I think they do have interest and are working out details.

IMO "at this time" just means they don't want to burn any bridges in case there's an emergency because of injuries of something.

Yeah, because teams are supposed to say 'Yes, Vick, OMG we want to sign him!'

No team wants to be left looking like a fool saying they want Vick and then have another team swoop in and sign him.

Now that makes me want to rethink the Disney trip and head to Iowa instead! Seriously, though...there are some foods on that list that sound reeeaaallll good!
