All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

If we did a Player for player trade, what position
If we did a Player for player trade, what position
We are stacked at the wr position or better yet the recieving game. The bucs seems to be very thin at that position. Lets say we dangle Parrish in their faces. What would you like in return?
Just don't foget how bad our return game has been in preseason.
TO
Evans
Reed
Parrish
Hardy
Johnson
Jenkins
Rb's (they can all catch)
Lynch
Jackson
Rhodes
Te's ( not proven but has potential)
Fine
Shouman
Nelson
Stuppar
Re: If we did a Player for player trade, what position
At this point of training camp, I wouldn't expect a starter. I don't have an exact player in mind, but possibly a reserve DT would be ideal if the Bills were to move Roscoe or any other WR.
I wouldn't mind trading Roscoe for a draft pick in 2010. Teams have taken chances on players only to return kicks in the draft the last couple of years as high as the second round, I bet the Bills could possibly get a third for him.
Re: If we did a Player for player trade, what position
At this point, I dont see any trades-- at least not one of significance.
the only 'name' player I could see being moved is Parrish, in large part because its such a numbers game, and his contract doesnt warrant being a 5th Wr/PR.

I agree although I would think we have more depth at DT than LB.If anything happened to Poz for example, we have no depth behind him.
I dont think Dick would want to trade Parrish for a draft pick next year unless it's Russ making that decision. It won't help Dick win now.

Any trade for a player straight up would be a depth move. I think the glaring needs as far as depth are on the defensive front 7, especially at LB and DT.
The only reason I favor a draft pick is that there are plenty of holes in this team. I think the Bills could get a decent pick, especially from a Super Bowl contender for Parrish due to his known playmaking ability in the return game and the importance put on special teams now. It's pretty obvious that as soon as Parrish's contract is over he wants out of Buffalo. With a middle round draft pick, you can have a player for a couple of years that can contribute in 2010 and beyond.
Re: If we did a Player for player trade, what position
trading parrish at this point is odd. because he has a function that we've prepared for. unless there is a big injury and we need the depth.
Obviously the bills are under the cap and carrying parrish's contract isn't an issue for the season. i expect him to be gone next year. plus, who knows, he gets his TD return in game 1 and then has a couple wildcat plays, maybe his value goes up during the draft next year.

it's a tough call.
Parrish really is one of those "X" factors.
On one hand, he's one of if not the best PR in the NFL, something that Buffalo values.. He's also an experienced WR and can step in if we get the injury bug there.
On the other though, he's a 5th, possibly even 6th WR on this team after Evans, TO, Reed, Johnson and maybe even Hardy.. He makes far too much to only be on the field for punts and a handful of offensive plays.
He may also have some value in trade. its even possible, though not likely, he could be flat-out released if they cant find a trade partner.
Re: If we did a Player for player trade, what position
i would lean towards Kelsay getting cut, but I think that was squashed when they paid him his roster bonus on April 1st (or was it March?)-- it was significant money too.. I dont see anyway they cut him now.

The coaches love him. He bends everytime he's touched but he hardly ever breaks.
Re: If we did a Player for player trade, what position
I don't think Tampa Bay has anything that they'd be willing to give up that we'd want in exchange for Parrish...I'd go with a draft pick also - perhaps a conditional 3rd...
