Terrell Owens emerged from the locker room to participate in his first practice in more than a week after spraining his toe in the Hall of Fame game. Owens’ work Monday evening however, was limited as he only took part in individual position drills catching passes from the quarterbacks without any defenders.

Last night practice (http://blogs.buffalonews.com/billboard/2009/08/last-night-practice.html)

PITTSFORD -- The Bills worked for an hour and 45 minutes at St. John Fisher College before a full house of about 4,000 on the final night practice of camp. Receiver Stevie Johnson (ribs) returned to practice and caught a couple passes from Trent Edwards in 11-on-11 drills. Marshawn Lynch had a good run off left tackle, getting a fine block from center Geoff Hangartner. Rookie tight end Shawn Nelson looked smooth catching a 15-yards pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick and turning upfield. Roscoe Parrish broke wide open in the middle of the field for a 20-plus-yard gain due to a busted coverage by someone, not sure who. Dominic Rhodes had a TD up the middle in red zone work. Fitzpatrick made a good play fake and ran to the corner of the end zone on a bootleg. Rian Lindell made kicks from 48, 49, 50 and 50 yards. Another 49-yarder appeared to be slightly blocked. Nelson and Parrish both left practice a bit early.
“Both of them felt sick, and Bud (Carpenter) actually told me a few other players felt sick," Jauron said. “So we may have something (a virus) running through the team."
Those not practicing Monday included Bryan Scott, Drayton Florence, Travis McCall, James Hardy, Xavier Omon, Aslee Palmer and Pat Thomas. cott suffered mild sprains of a knee and ankle but is not expected to be out long. Florence suffered a sprained medial-colateral ligament in the knee. McCall was walking with a big brace on his left knee.
"Bryan is pretty good and Bud has said he’s day to day," Jauron said. "Drayton’s not quite that good but it’s not as bad as it could have been, and that’s more into weeks. Not certain how many. It doesn’t sound like five. But anywhere from two to five."
