    Maybin Talks Going Nowhere

Buffalo rookie defensive end Aaron Maybin will have to find out what training camp is like next season.

    Re: Maybin Talks Going Nowhere

A couple of days ago I was behind Maybin on this. After all, a lot of money is at stake. But then when I think about it more, he is holding out for money he shouldn't be getting in the first place. He is the 11th pick overall and got picked right in the range he was expected to.

Crabtree is being greedy and is trying to bust up the slotting system, the way I see it Maybin is trying to capitalize on that greed.

Also, Moreno and Orakpo got their deals done without waiting on Crabtree and so did Raji. They respected the slotting system and got themselves in camp.

Im getting real annoyed with this kid now.

It's getting to the point where I expect absolutely nothing from him this year. In all honesty, I think Copeland Bryan will contribute more to the Bills in 2009 than Maybin will.

I know Maybin will be signed eventually, but out of curiousity, what do we get if we let him re-enter the draft next year? Are we compensated in any way?

No. We can trade his rights before draft day though.

Also, he can't take part in any workouts or 40's with other teams until draft day.

Obviously we dont know what Buffalo is offering though. If they are low balling then im behind Maybin. If they are offering a contract in accordance with the slotting system then Maybin is in the wrong.

I'll never side with a guy who's going to become a multimillionaire before ever playing a down in the NFL.
The Bills aren't exactly big spenders, but they've always been fair with rookies so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

No way they're low-balling him. Think about it - there are only 3 unsigned picks now. It's pretty easy to see what he deserves based on everyone else who has signed. It's a 99.99% guarantee that Maybin is just being greedy, hoping Crabtree signs to some ******edly overpaid figure.

                      Because 1 Bentley with spinners isn't enough - he needs a Ferrari too - it's non-negotiable.

As much as I enjoy a good rip on Ralphie and his spending ways.

The Bills are 100% right by taking a stance on this.

The Bills should start to DECREASE their offer!

im still rooting for maybin to succeed here and i hope he makes a big impact and proves the critics wrong, but geez..... hes really starting to piss me off. no way the Bills are lowballing him at this point.
