BUFFALO, N.Y. – Rugged left wing Jeff Cowan has signed a one-year contract with the Buffalo Sabres, who are adding muscle to their roster this offseason.
Cowan is an eight-year NHL veteran but spent last season playing for Peoria in the American Hockey League. He previously played two years with Vancouver, where he combined for seven goals, four assists and 203 penalty minutes in 88 games.

Are they just going to beat everybody up now?
It's like they were beat up in high school (since 05/06).. now they're doing steroids to get back at the bullys. :giggity:

Yeah, they're adding muscle, but they're also adding a bunch of guys who aren't very good and can't play hockey. Typical Sabres...see the problem, but don't address it the right way.

Yeah, they're adding muscle, but they're also adding a bunch of guys who aren't very good and can't play hockey. Typical Sabres...see the problem, but don't address it the right way.

Whether we agree with them or not, it seems like the Sabres' FO is happy with the skill players we have like Roy, Pominville, Vanek, maybe Gerbe, etc, and they're trying to get some size to give them room to operate.

Maybe the plan is to use all these big guys as blockers and implement the Flying V from the Mighty Ducks with Vanek and Roy in the back.

I do know 1 thing for sure that the Bills are looking for a veteran WINGER and our a puck moving defensemen...
