It was supposed to be signed monday or tuesday. The deal was ready to go, I guess they were having trouble closing up some of the finer details. Im glad they finally put ink to paper. It would make sense for the Bills to wait until morning to make a formal announcement. I find it humorous that TO decided to jump the gun. either way, its about time.

This is great to hear! I am very curious to see how well he can rush the passer in the remaining 2 pre-season games. Hopefully they give him a lot of reps....

So the only thing that says the deal is done are a couple of tweets? :rofl: I have heard he was supposed to be singed for over a week now and that the only thing holding it up were some minor details.

Eventually, someone will be right and get credit for breaking the story.

When the tweet comes from a teammate I think that's a pretty good indicator he's signed.

Appearently the Bills planned to announce it Sundayish, giving everyone one last chanve to make an impression in the game. But, since T.O. leaked it, they may have to cut someone now.

he wont make the trip to greenbay.. and i think he is probably going to be pretty worthless for the first half of the season after missing all of training camp.

we will be lucky to get 2-3 sacks out of the guy.. just like Harvey for the Jags last year.

Well, speculation was that if the Bills delayed announcing the official signing, they could play Saturday night without having to cut 1 guy to make room for Maybin on the roster. They could possibly make the official announcement Sunday and cut someone then.

I fail to see how making an announcement in the media has anything to do with them having to cut someone. I just wonder what people are thinking sometimes because that is stupid.

I'm not exactly sure about the rules but there is a buffer zone and he just can't report to camp until the roster is trimmed. I'm certain that it has zero to do with when they announce it to the media though.

they have to file paperwork with the NFL immediately so no matter what Maybin signs some one is axed
