A league source tells us that the Buffalo Bills and defensive end Aaron Maybin, the eleventh overall pick in the 2009 draft, are getting close to an agreement.

This is the latest news that I can find on Google. Says that they are only "close."

Well, I think this is a sports 1st. The first time a pretty big sports story has broken via Twitter!! Thanks for the info. Can't wait to see Maybin play!!

It was supposed to be signed monday or tuesday. The deal was ready to go, I guess they were having trouble closing up some of the finer details. Im glad they finally put ink to paper. It would make sense for the Bills to wait until morning to make a formal announcement. I find it humorous that TO decided to jump the gun. either way, its about time.

This is great to hear! I am very curious to see how well he can rush the passer in the remaining 2 pre-season games. Hopefully they give him a lot of reps....

So the only thing that says the deal is done are a couple of tweets?

I have heard he was supposed to be singed for over a week now and that the only thing holding it up were some minor details.

Eventually, someone will be right and get credit for breaking the story.

When the tweet comes from a teammate I think that's a pretty good indicator he's signed.
