I'm starting a fantasy hockey league on ESPN. I'm trying to get most of the people that did the BZ league on Yahoo! last year to join. It would be a keeper league and we're going to vote on whether it's a live draft or a live auction draft. If your interested, I need your email address so I can send the invite.

As of right now it's a 12 team league w/ 6 team conferences. Same scoring as last year. Here is the link for those who are interested.

Right now it says auction but I can easily change it to live draft.

I just don't see how it's fair to have a live draft where unless you have a top 3 pick you automatically lose out on Ovechkin and Malkin.

I'm also down with taking suggestions on how we should do scoring. For now I tried to mirror the settings in last year's league but I'm open to any changes.

They have a H2H scoring which goes week long and is similar to fantasy football. I did this for a baseball league and it's totally different, but kind of cool if people are open to that.

I'm not sure if Yahoo made the change but ESPN does free live scoring which is what brought me to them. I can say through all the different leagues I've done in the past year with them, it's way better than Yahoo.

I don't understand what the fascination with Yahoo is personally. ESPN has free live scoring and is wwaaayyyy more customizable than Yahoo. I wouldn't even be doing Yahoo football leagues this year if it weren't for continuing a few longtime leagues. I can't stand Yahoo anymore.

Do you think we should switch it to 3 divisions w/ 4 teams, leave it the same, or just have an overall standings like we had on Yahoo last year?

If we can't get 80% of the owners live, we probably have to do the auto draft and scrap the auction draft. The auction draft intrigues me, but I don't know how fair it would be or how it works if I or other owners are absent from the draft

1. It wasn't scrapped. I just brought that point up. I love auction drafts but I also realize that others don't necessarily have that much time. I did a baseball draft where it took a good 3 hours for me to fill just my team but wasn't full over. I was bringing this up because I don't want to hear everyone ***** about it.

2. Lecter is right. We have a few weeks to settle this.

3. If we do an auction and people can't be present, they can either set limits for certain players and the computer will bid, or just leave ESPN's default amounts and it autobids. In other words, you want to be there or you kinda get hosed.

I thought about that too. Not only are they Bills home games, but I think they are both late games too, so you couldn't even expect to do it at like 6 or 7 PM.

I'd prefer a regular style draft for that reason only.
