Considering...

#12 signed for 5 years, 23 mil, 12.5 mil guaranteed and,

#9 signed for 5 years, 28.5 mil, 18 mil guaranteed.

I am predicting 5 years, 25 mil, with 14 mil guarenteed.

That seems pretty logical for the #11 slot.

If I am close it seems like that could have been done 2 weeks ago.

I wonder if we'll ever find if Maybin wanted more and came down OR the Bills offered less and came up.

This situation reminds me of the time when the Dolphins were trying to trade for Trent Green (KC). Rumors were everywhere that Miami was offering a 5th rounder while KC wanted a 3rd. I saw Green interviewed on ESPN saying "well, most people hear that and say 'why don't they just compromise and trade for a 4th rounder?' But it's not that simple."

In the end, after weeks of back and forth, Green was traded for a 4th rounder.

No matter how much people talk about negotiations, etc., it almost always ends up being the appropriate numbers (unless you're Oakland), the numbers everyone expected from the beginning. Which can be really frustrating.

Of course, that's assuming we signed him for money appropriate for his slot. Otherwise my post just kind of sucks. And I think you're probably very close in your guess.

I say 25 mil --- 15.5 guaranteed.

No way its 17.6 guaranteed if 12 got 12.5 thats one spot difference and difference of 5 mil guaranteed.

Sounds about right. Give or take a few million that is. It will really piss me off if it was the FO delaying this and not Maybin. If thats the case 99.9999% of us owe him an apology

umm guys the numbers are known.....

they say the base contract is 17.6 with incentives ot take it to 25 mil

not sure if the 17.6 is guarenteed though, probably not but easily to obtain if he makes all the OTA's etc...

Actually this makes sense... Raji signed for 18 mil guaranteed. So I guess the idea is that they are treating Raji like the pick before Maybin.
