He was wearing a red "do not hit me shirt", but he wasn't wearing it in the last practice. I like SJ very much... And I hope he becomes a star for the Bills... But I hate when people discount James Hardy and call him a bust just because they see him as a threat to SJ. I look for them both to be very productive as Bills.

I will use that word, because it really seems like some people got a man crush on him. He's the main guy many people on here talk about all the time. I watch him at training camp all the time and I don't see him being much different than a Justin Jenkins or CJ Hawthorne out there... maybe he's better in an actual game. I hope he is, because he could be our #3 next year or even #2 depending on if they keep Owens and if Hardy recovers from his injury. Frankly, I'm more interested in what Hardy will do. But I can't wait to see both of them in a red zone formation, plus Shawn Nelson! That would be sick! Finally, we got some size!Originally posted by yordad

Owens is sidelined.* James Hardy remains on the PUP list.* We heard from reliable sources last week that had WR Steve Johnson been healthy, he would have started in place of Owens, leaving Josh Reed to slot duties.* Johnson, however, missed the Chicago game with a rib injury; after practicing all week, however, Johnson is likely to make his pre-season debut tonight.* Will he start? It's certainly something worth watching, as it would in part indicate that Buffalo isn't completely comfortable using Reed as the primary fill-in on the outside should either Owens or Lee Evans miss a game that counts.
