AMHERST, N.Y. — Running back James Starks will miss his senior season at Buffalo because of a shoulder injury, leaving the defending Mid-American Conference champions without their all-time leading rusher.
Coach Turner Gill announced Tuesday that tests revealed Starks has a labral tear in his shoulder that requires surgery. Starks is a fifth-year senior and will not have any college eligibility left.
