sorry but I saw Sabres fans take over the Caps' arena at least 3 or 4 times. That alone should put them below Buffalo.

Re: The Best and Worst fans of the NHL, 2009 Edition
lists like this are stupid, other than hockey-crazed cities like montreal and toronto who will always be up top even when they're losing, this list just favors the fair-weather fans and teams placement on the list is directly related to the success of the team, which has nothing to do with the quality of fans, everyone shows up to games when a teams winning, selling tickets when the team sucks shows more about a fanbase.
seriously? chicago 2nd? meh. the only non-Canadian team in the top 5 should be minnesota, who i think has sold out every game in their existence.Last edited by Crisis; 08-28-2009, 11:33 PM.Originally posted by LOSman WINSVanek is Austrian not EuropeanOriginally posted by Prov401Pacquiao isn't asian. Originally posted by LOSman WINSkeep saying that, but it will be the Sabres that will be staying in Buffalo and it will be the Bills that are going to move to Toronto or Los Angeles or some other city after Ralph Wilson dies. Get ready for it because it's going to happen!
The Bills have sold something like 55k season tickets, and it's their 2nd or 3rd highest year on record. They've already sold out over half the games and will likely sell out their entire season.
It's not going to be enough to keep the team from moving, but Sabres fans and Bills fans are equally dumb when it comes to paying for an unsatisfactory product (probably since most of them are the exact same people).

Re: The Best and Worst fans of the NHL, 2009 Edition
The notion that Bills and Sabres fans are dumb, or stupid or whatever for buying season tickets, is getting old. Yes, the teams are down now, but there have been winning years and playoff runs as well.
And besides, it's fun and exciting and enjoyable to go to HSBC or the Ralph, regardless. Yes, winning is more fun, but the fans still get the opportunity to see two major league sports with all their great teams and superstars, enjoy all the tailgating and pregame parties, etc.
If you look at tickets strictly as a $ to wins thing, I think you are missing most of the fun of the whole experience.Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
