I grew up during the Super Bowl years and every since then have been given this team that looks nothing like the old team that they might as well be a completely different franchise.
Sometimes I wonder what the fan base for the Bills would be had it not had that 4 year run of Super Bowls? Honestly, I think thats how the Bills sell tickets today. In no other organization are they so apt to connect themselves with 15 years ago. Where are the stars of today? Where are the players I can get behind NOW? I don't see them.
I know around week 10, I stopped watching games, I would peek in to an online stream here and there, but for the most part I'd just start watching good football matchups. I just missed watching GOOD football. The Bills do not play this. Ever. If they win it's usually based off of lucky bounces, and the other team being even dumber.
The epitomy of this team is going for a field goal with 2 minutes left and having it BLOCKED...that is this team. We don't try to win, we try not to lose. This is not a team I can get behind. This team has nothing in common with those of the 90s aside from the name. And more and more I'm wondering is the only reason I'm following the Bills now because of what they did almost 2 decades ago and the fun and love I had for them when they were an actual real football team, or am I following them because I like the current team?
Honestly, I find myself liking other teams better than the Bills. How am I supposed to like the CURRENT Bills? I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE our coach. I hate our front office. I hate our overpaid DE pieces of garbage. I hate Whitner. I hate our previous bust draft picks. Everything they throw at us for us to hope for has been dissapointments.
Lynch, Poz, Whitner, Simpson, Edwards, Ellis, Youboty, Kelsay, Mitchell, Walker, Dockery, etc, etc...
Next on the list I'm sure is T.O., Maybin, and Levitre.
This team is awful and is a joke and has been for as long as I can remember now.
This team is becoming no longer fun for me, and come 0-5 or whatever it's going to be this year, I"m going to again slowly disconnect even more from this team and watch good football teams/games in general. And I hate that. I don't like to be pushed away but I don't like the total dissapointment every Sunday. Football should have some fun in it and not be so stressful every week. If I wanted stress and disapointment like that, I'll go back to working on Sundays. And To think in my rant I never even brought in the Toronto factor. If that's not embarrassing enough.
Anyone else feel like this???
