and remember, 18 carries in 4 games.... they aren't giving him many touches per game.

Not really helping....

I think my mindset going into this year is similar to yours Op...hoping for the best but expecting very little. I've watched this same cast of characters play average at best football for too long to be fooled into expecting more.

They are resting him up for his 3 game suspension.

He is extreemly productive when the ball is ran 20 + times and the major gains are made once the Defense has been softened up. We have a squad in the back field and should beat the hell out of the D with running plays if we can get the O Line to produce some holes....

Yeah, I think his average goes up in the second half of the game. Here's hoping that is what happens during the regular season. Especially when he's a motivated person coming back from suspension against Miami. Bust it open for 150 yards, Lynch!

Since Lynch will miss the first three games, doesn't it make sense to take a look at the other RBs and the rest of our offense?

i don't think there has been a game where the Bills run game averaged over 3.0 yards a carry combined, is there?

Our run blocking has been terrible for quite a while. Even when we had the vaunted Peters at LT, we were better running to the right, over Butler and Walker. Maybe as the new O-line develops. . .

we can only hope. otherwise, it's going to be a long season when teams don't respect the run game. Edwards will know what Bledsoe and Losman felt like when the opposing team started teeing off with blitzes. you would think the FO saw that years ago before they FINALLY started drafting OL.

I will be at the game. I have field pass tickets again this year. So I will be the 12th man for the Bills screaming from the end zone on every play. I have a sign for Lynch just for the return game. "Vacation Over" Marshawn's Beast Mode Comic Pic in the middle "Feed The Beast".

Nice! I can't wait to see how Lynch does against the Dolphins in Week 4. I can see him being very motivated, and it would get even better if our OL has improved the run blocking by then.
