The Carolina Panthers added depth to their defensive line and signed the first of their draft picks.
The Panthers signed defensive end Kavika Pittman to a one-year deal that will count $475,000 toward the salary cap.
Pittman, 29, was a second-round draft choice by Dallas in 1996 and has made 75 career starts..
He spent the past three seasons with Denver and started 15 games last year.
The Panthers also signed seventh-round draft pick Walter Young, a wide receiver from Illinois, to a three-year contract.
