Please keep Copeland over Kelsay, Jauron. You want the team to improve or not??? Take the cap hit!!!

Good article on Copeland:

Bryan makes his case

As roster cuts approach this Saturday, Bills players who are “on the bubble” got their last chance to show game time abilities in the 17-6 loss to the Detroit Lions (http://www.detroitlions.com/) Thursday night. Starters getting little to no game time meant that second and third team players received their share of action at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

Third-year DE Copeland Bryanhttp://www.buffalobills.com/assets/img/icon-article-link.gif (http://www.buffalobills.com/team/roster/copeland-bryan/cc3afa13-b8d2-4bc4-bb7d-ecda40a8900d/) certainly has shown some promise this preseason. He had the only fumble recovery against the Lions, giving him two in the last two preseason games. Bryan also has two sacks and a forced fumble.

In the first quarter Thursday night, rookie DE Aaron Maybinhttp://www.buffalobills.com/assets/img/icon-article-link.gif (http://www.buffalobills.com/team/roster/aaron-maybin/155045d6-7d6b-46bf-957b-676c5668d804/) sacked rookie quarterback and top overall draft pick Matthew Stafford. The ball popped out and Bryan recovered.

Bryan’s performance in the past two games shows that along with experience, he also has gained confidence.

“I’m a lot smarter now,” he said. “Last season, I was much more frantic in my mind. There was always so much going through my head last season. There are a lot of things that I need to be aware of at once, and it makes it difficult to focus sometimes. It’s hard to sort through.

“I’m getting used to playing the game. I have a little more composure now, with more experience. I know the things I need to do, and I’m more confident about not letting myself have any kind of mental errors.”

Copeland had improved, but I can't say by how much.

Either way, cutting Kelsey is a NO-BRAINER for me. Denney gives the same production as Kelsey for a lot less money.

Kelsey is a bigger lame duck than Dick Jauron.

If you want this to work with this club we have to use reverse psychology. Keep Kelsay over Copeland and then I'm sure they'll get rid of Kelsay

do this and they'll keep kelsay probably

Release Kelsay. Don't think he is worth anything for trade value unless involved in a package deal. Maybin is the real deal.... We need to make room for BALLERS...

I'm pretty sure that Kelsay's contract extension included so much guaranteed money that releasing him now wouldn't make any sense. He'll probably be gone next year. Hopefully, Maybin and Ellis can show some things this year and share time with Kelsay.

Them keeping Denney and Kelsay is just another example of Dickey not having a clue about what it takes to win in this league...just ridiculous.

The best football move would be to release Denney and keep Kelsay & Bryan.

The best business move would be to release Kelsay and let Denney finish out his contract, this way we could unload two pretty hefty contracts by the end of the year.

That's loser type thinking. Did we keep Mike Williams when his cap hit cost us $4 mil a year for 2 years??? Sometimes you have to do what's right to make the team better and win. The problem is this coaching staff doesn't know how to recognize what to do. They are clueless and our win-loss record the last couple of years reflects that.

Gee, keep a DE who shows improvement and is young...or keep a DE who has shown NO improvement over his career and is old and declining (if that's even possible)? What a hard decision.

I am REALLY ticked off today that Bryan was cut for those scrubs Denney and Kelsay. How long are they going to continue to hold back our pass rush? Any other coach would have had no trouble cutting them by now. But they're veterans, so of course they get the nod over young and improving talents.

Where's the "who cares, they both suck" option?

Did Copeland play against starters or backups?

Did Copeland play against starters or backups?

Is it his fault that the coaches didn't have the balls to play him with the starters? What else could he do? He got sacks, forced fumbles, recovered fumbles...yes, against backups, but what did Kelsay do? What has Kelsay done his entire career except steal his paycheck ?
