Sabres fans can take home a unique piece of Buffalo sports history when they attend “PuckDrop 2009” on Saturday, September 12 at HSBC Arena. A limited number of commemorative bricks from “The Aud” will go on sale that morning, as part of the day-long event that gives fans of all ages to share in the excitement of the first day of training camp. All proceeds from the sales of the bricks will go to the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.
This limited edition brick is an authentic piece of outer limestone from the Buffalo Memorial Auditorium, with a commemorative medallion affixed to it. The bricks come in two sizes – 3”x4”x2.5” ($49); 3”x8”x2.5” ($69) – and will go on sale outside The Sabres Store beginning at 10 a.m. Larry Playfair and Danny Gare will be on hand to autograph the bricks.
