but the Patriots didn't. Did we miss out on another potential guard because of our youth movement or because our FO sucks at evaluating talent?

If he's good enough for the Pats, he's good enough for me.

Remember when the Patriots signed Monty Beisel to "replace" Tedy Bruschi after he had the stroke?

Remember when the Pats won 3 Super Bowls during the last 9 years when the Bills didn't make the playoffs? I'll take NE's decision makers over the Bills anyday! :tricycle:

Remember when the Pats cheated and won three Super Bowls but lost in the Super Bowl after getting caught?

Remember when the Pats cheated and won three Super Bowls but lost in the Super Bowl after getting caught?Who cares? They still won them and that's all that matters. I wish the Bills would start cheating a bit more.

Remember when the Pats traded a 2nd rd pick for Welker, everyone thought they were nuts and he goes to the pro-bowl after putting up a 100+ catch season?

The Pats apparently have been after Simmons for a long time. His agent said they wanted to sign him back in March when he was still injured.

They are taking more than a flyer on him as well, given they signed him for 3 Years and paid him a $280K signing bonus. He is working at both the guard and tackle positions, making him their most experienced reserve.
