Unfortunately, I wouldn't even mind so much if we lost but made a game out of it. Even that would do something for the confidence of the team. Getting blown out by the Pats in the first week would set a bad tone for the season.

Many times we go there and make a game of it. It's when they come here that they cream us.

Regardless, we always play them tough the first game, and then get smothered in the 2nd. Its a combination of the fact that our seasons usually decline due to injury and lost confidence whereas theirs just tend to pick up steam in general. They've historically played closer games early in the season if I'm not mistaken. I'm not gonna look it up but the only time they came out super hot was the Spygate game at NY.
