Rookie long shot impresses
After one minicamp and three days of off-season workouts, Chris Kern figures he's ahead of the game.

"I've already accomplished a dream -- I'm here," said Kern, a rookie defensive back for the Lions.

And he hopes that will be only the beginning.

"I've got millions of goals," Kern said Thursday. "I'm going to keep going. Stop dreaming, you stop living. Ultimately, I want to make this team. I want to do everything in my power to make this team."...
