both this loss and the Cowboys loss two years ago were significantly due to special teams letdowns at the worst possible time

        They lost us the game!
        Bad punting by Moorman
the long kickoff return at the first half (thankfully nothing came out of that)
no significant field position except the play where Nic Harris picked up the McKelvin fumble.

Moorman putting it inside the 5 wasn't too shabby.

Bobby April wasn't out there fielding the kick.

Yeah Bobby! Didn't you ever teach your players that with the lead late in a close game to wrap up the ball?

It was moron McKelvin's fault. What a game, but I'm sure he IS being told to lay off the receivers by at least 20 yards.

The special teams were inconsistent and aren't as good as they used to be. That turnover was the win, and there was no reason for it. A great team effort wasted.

A special teams coach needs to coach a player to wrap up the ball

                      at least one penalty
overall bad punting except for the one downed at the five
                      two fumbled kickoff returns

people pillory Jauron till the cows come home but April gets a pass

I've been underwhelmed by him the past couple of years.

I can only think that it comes to coaching, you cannot allow the player to make STUPID calls like that and lose a game

all the coaching in the world can be erased on a bad impulse by a player...the fact is no one knows how much april has taught leodis about wrapping up the ball....but still protecting the ball is ****ing common sense that a PROFESSIONAL football player shouldn't need taught to him.

They did release one of their best special teams players (Jenkins) today I believe to sign another tight end.

Exactly. He was trying to be a hero. NO feeling for the game situation and what was needed. Take a knee, just go down, and let the offense run down the clock...
