not that bad. he is a work horse so i have no doubt he is back in 4 weeks 5 at the latest. we def dodged a bullet with that one because we could not afford to lose him for the year! no LB we could aquire or sign this late would be as good as pos. we got VERY lucky here. he will be back by week 6 so we will still have him for over half the season.

Thanks for the update. This is a huge concern. Hopefully, Buggs/Harris/Mitchell/Ellison can pick up the slack. That's a scary combo of linebackers there...

Hopefully we sign a decent LB now or play Harris

Although Mitchell has been a starting MLB in the league before (with KC), the Bills are more likely moving Ellison to MLB.

They should put Harris in the middle, or Ive heard they might move Ellison to the middle and Harris on the outside.

I like Mitchell as a MLB. It doesnt require you to be as fast and hes good at pluging gaps and blitzing from the middle. He does well in dropping into zone but not covering TEs which is what OLBs jobs are.

Look for them to resign Pat Thomas...though they'll have to open up another roster spot

*After I wrote this post, I read the article. Damn Pat you are reading my mind!!!

I like Poz, but does anyone else having that scary feeling that his arm injuries might be long term trouble for him?

lol..

Not a lock though, because they would have to release a player to accomodate him. And they already are going to have to make a move when Lynch comes back (as well as Hardy)

This could be very bad news for Drayton Florence/Ashton Youboty/Jon Corto- combo of 1 or 2 of these three.

Ellison, Denney, and Wendling would be perfect

Denney is better than Kelsay just so you know Mitchell.

Personally, let's see what Palmer and Buggs can do is they way I'd go.

They already didn't like Pat Thomas, or they wouldn't have cut him. Why bring him back over Palmer now?

Then again, this is the same team that cut Chambers and brought him back, so who knows.

Only reason they cut him was they were waiting to try and get something for big fat Langston. I bet they told him they were bringing him right back in a week or so

They should switch Ellison to the bench...

Mitchell, Corto
Ellison, Buggs
Harris, Palmer

We should not sign another until there's another LB injury.

Activate Ellis and Steve Johnson this week.

The only issues i can see being with a reoccuring bone break would be bone denisity and that would of been detected after the first break. These guys are getting the BEST medical care availible in the Free World. He will be fine.

I would be willing to bet it was an impact with the ground or soemthing to that effect that broke it not personal contact with another player... Does anyone know how it happened?

i agree. they'll just have to find this years Digiorgio on their roster. although, it wouldn't hurt that the Old Fart can loosen up the purse string to get a legit player in here either.

I think it makes some sense to move Kawika Mitchell to the middle, although he's not going to be as mobile in pass coverage. I think Nick Harris can play right now and the Bills aren't giving up a lot. I don't know that any scrub they sign now is going to help a lot. Pat Thomas is a warm body that knows the system, and that's about it.

If they didnt anticipate any injuries this year and they don't think Ashlee Palmer is ready to play, then he shouldn't have made the 53-man roster and should've been on the PS

I bet they wish they didn't let Bryan go either... Considering the potential time Kelsay may miss.

Bring Brooks in, move Ellison to middle....though I'd really like to see Harris on the field.

The only positive that comes from this is that it gets Harris onto the field. Hopefully once Poz is healthy that is were he stays, putting Ellison on the pine where he belongs.

Rumor is the Derrick Johnson of the Cheifs has been demoted. If true I would do everything possible to swing a deal for him. Give them Roscoe and 3rd, we put Johnson in the Middle till Poz is back and then shift DJ over to Keith's spot.

Damn, maybe this is my fault. I've only been to 2 games in NE. Guess which two. The one two years ago where Poz broke his forearm and this past monday where Poz broke his forearm...Maybe I'm a curse.
