I was thinking about how we needed a good third WR...Who could we have gotten???? How about Terry Glenn. I know, I know Locker room cancer and all that crap. But the Cowboys traded for him for a 6th round pick a month or two ago!!!! He put up 800+ yards last year, and he and bledsoe know each other well.(he has multi 1000 yard seasons with Drew) Also Terry Glenn has the Speed in a 3rd WR we need. I just wish TD would have traded a 5th rounder and taken a chance on him. And if Glenn gets out of line, we will send Winfeild after him.

There's your reason right there.

Cowboys have been Raider-like ...they thrive on problem children like Glenn, Michael Irvin, Erik Williams, and Leon Lett.

Antoine's job is to play CB, not to babysit losers like Glenn.

F terry glenn... if he didnt act like a pus and miss tons of time last year for stuff like headaches and sore arsecheeks then he would have been well over 1000 yards.

You gotta admit, he is MUCH better than Bobby Shaw.

terry glenn is no prise catch..

he isnt clutch, he whines, he gets hurt all the time, he has never proved anything in the nfl except that one season he broke 1000 yards..

how is he better than shaw?

The fact that Glenn only went for a 6th to the cowboys should tell you something. There are plenty of teams who could use a wr with the potential of Glenn but thats all he is, potential and with his attitude he won't achieve it here.

He's like Rob Johnson, has the tools to suceed, but lacks the intagibles.

Well, the packers gave up some nice picks for Glenn, and dumped him in a year for a worse package of picks. And the Packers are very thin at that spot as it is.

To be honest- I doubt the Bills will get anyone of significance on June 1, as there are many fewer teams in cap hell (with the larger cap and people are using it wiser)

However, I would expect TD to keep a nice portion of cap free for final cut downs around Sept 1- that's where you might get some bargains.

Great point Dozer!!!

As to Glenn/Shaw:

Shaw has averaged ~ 500 yards and 2.5 TDs/season in the 4 years in which he has played.

Glenn has averaged less than 800 yards and just over 3 TDs/season in his 7 seasons in the league in which he was the #1 WR for 6 of those seasons. His max TD production ever w/ over 1,100 yards was only 6 TDs one year and only a paltry 4 another, both years w/ over 1,100 yards. Once again strongly indicating that yards apart from TDs is virtually meaningless! He's oft hurt and I'll leave the rest to what has been stated above.

If Glenn had averaged over 1,000 yards and + TDs for his career it may have been worthy of consideration. But for one of the most overrated WRs to ever set foot on the football field, he blows!

P.S.

I'm not exactly all whooped up about Shaw either, but given the choice, I'd take Shaw. I'm still of the opinion that if Moulds or Reed goes down, we may very well be hosed in the passing department as things now stand.

A good chunk of our season will depend, more than usual, on injuries to the offense and to our LBing corps.

Is this the same terry glenn that Parcells called "she"???

why on earth would the Parcells led Cowboys trade for her???
let parcells have her if he wants her... we dont need her that bad...if he cuts her let someone else date her...

I was wondering what everyones thoughts were now that Glenn is having a great year?

Well,I look like a genius because they used their cap space to grab Milloy...:D

Terry Glenn only works in Dallas because he has an iorn-fisted coach - who has experienced dealing with him in the past.

With Gregg and Gilbride, we would still be 4-4 and still not running the ball. If anything, Glenn in this enviroment could be poisoning our younger players

If you are that desperate for a WR, you could have done what the Redskins did and get Coles- it would have been almost an even swap for Price (can't remember what Coles signed for- I think it was less than Price did)

Even with Coles, we would be 4-4, no running game- poor coaching- back to square 1

I'd rather roll the dice with McG though- He is going to be something special

I like Shaw. But just say we had gotten Glenn....it wouldn't have changed Reed dropping everything thrown at him in the first 5 games of the season, and wouldn't have prevented Moulds' injury, so we likely would still be right where we are now, recordwise.

Glenn is the kind of player it might be worth having if you've got a Bill Parcells coaching. If you've got a GW coaching, you've got to have players with no baggage.

Damn, if only the Bills had Glenn, Bledsoe would be great.
