    Will Warren Walk Away?

A league source tells us that Bucs defensive tackle Warren Sapp has said that, if he doesn't get an acceptable new contract in Tampa when his current deal expires after the coming season, he might retire in lieu of joining a new team.

Over the past few weeks, Sapp has been saying all of the right things publicly, but he has been pissing and moaning privately about the perceived lack of respect that the Bucs are showing him by not giving him a new megadeal.

According to the source, there's yet another basis for Sapp's belief that he's getting dissed by the Bucs. Recently, coach Jon Gruden added to the offensive arsenal a short-yardage play involving Sapp's linemate, Anthony McFarland. McFarland also will be a free agent after this season, and conventional wisdom is that the Bucs can't keep both -- and that they'll likely keep McFarland.
