    AFC East

    Bills host Saints
    Pats host Falcons
    Jets host Tennessee
    Dolphins at San Diego

Looking at this, guys, we COULD be tied for first place after this weekend.

If the Falcons beat the Pats (could happen)
Titans beat the Jets (could happen)
Chargers beat the Phins (will happen)
and we beat the Saints (coul--WILL happen)

    Jets 2-1
    Bills 2-1
    Pats 1-2
    Phins 0-3

I bet the Dolphins win out west. I don't see NY losing to Tenn and i have the Pats beating ATL.

So if we don't win, we could be tied with MIA for last.

If we lose than we are still in third place.

we are still 0-1 in Division, but a 2-1 start would be great heading into a very important game @ Miami.

Atlanta should be able to handle NE.
Titans are about even with the Jets so it could go either way.
Chargers should beat Miami at home.

The Miami-San Diego game will be close and I would pick Miami to win if they didn't have to travel across the country on a short week. Miami and Pennington both have the Chargers number recently though.

                        Re: AFC East

Let's see...Miami's pass defense = sucky, Chargers pass offense = very good. Who will win that matchup? To be honest, San Diego's run defense sucks too so Miami has a chance to win, but they could easily lose.

The Titans/Jets game is interesting. I hate to admit it, but the Jets may win that one. The Titans have not been very good against the pass at all. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Tennessee ends up winning. They have some decent receivers and a very good running game. Fisher is an excellent coach and could easily be the one who beats the Jets defense.

Atlanta/NE is also interesting. Atlanta doesn't blitz a lot, so they could end up getting picked apart. May depend on if Welker plays. Again, I wouldn't be surprised if it went either way, though I expect Atlanta to win. Matt Ryan has showed he can carry the load, but Turner is still a very good back. The running and passing game are strong for Atlanta.

                          Re: AFC East

Miami safeties= sucky. When you say pass defense you are lumping in the corners as well and they are not the problem. Gibril Wilson has been the worst starter so far this season for Miami and if he doesn't get it turned around the defense will be middle of the pack or likely worse.

Then again if our pass rush gets going that will cover the problems we have with the safeties.

Edit: And San Diego is beat up right now so that is a positive for the Phins.

The fact that every AFC East team is facing a tough opponent could mean standings get really shaken up, or everyone one is in the same relative position next week that they are in now. We know if Buffalo wins they can't be in any worse position in the standings and could be in better shape. So, go out and take care of business guys!
