There might be a chance then. Our run offense is pretty darn good and while they're run defense is ranked high, I cant help but think that is because teams need to go through the air to keep up with Brees and co. and our run defense is real good, while theyre run offense is hurting and un tested.

Weve got a shot. Please mother nature... be kind and do your worst.

Actually their run defense is allowing just 2.7 yards a carry, tied for 4th in the NFL

Sorry, but there's not going to be 80% of rain. Going by buffalonews.com weather report (which I always use for games cause it's spot on) says a slim chance of showers. However, there will be wind and we need that more than rain.

I still think thats due to the fact that teams have to go through the air on them. :idunno:

I'm guessing the weather gods can't drop two feet of snow on us this sunday, can they?

OK, but Trent's not that good in the elements either, is he?? Or we just going on the fact that we have a good ground game?

Miami in the snow in 2007, Denver in the freezing cold and slick surface.

The game that everyone says he sucked in weather wise was Cleveland. But, lets face it. Noone could throw in that weather and he put the team in position to win at the end. Just bad playcalling.

Well seeing that the Buff news, Wben, the Weather Channel, WIVB are all calling for a slim chancer of a spot shower. Unlike that crappy site which says 80%, sorry got to go with the other 5 sites.

Weather Underground is always used by golf courses, if that means anything.

I'd love to have Lynch running if it were going to rain...you try and tackle the beast when he's wet and slippery and bulldozing you. Still think we need to consider using McIntrye this game to spell Jackson!

Forget rain. Rain favors the offense because it is easier for defenders to slip and loose their feet.

What we all have to hope for is WIND. At least 20 mph.

Wind will mess with even the best passing game and, if it is strong enough, it doesn't matter what kind of arm a QB has (I once saw Joe Namath throw a ball 40 yards into the wind at The Ralph and have it blown 20 yards almost straight back towards the line of scrimmage). If the wind is strong enough, it will negate the passing game whether a team is going with the wind or against it. And, there have been some really windy games at The Ralph in late September and October over the years.

I know the Saints have done a good job of stopping the run so far this season, but I would rather see the Bills in a duel of running games with the Saints than in a duel of passing games. Trent Edwards may drive Bills fans crazy with his short passing, but I'd rather see him and Brees being forced to dink-and-dunk all game long than see Brees being able to throw the ball anywhere he wants on the field.

So, pray for a nice stiff breeze to being blowing across Lake Erie on Sunday afternoon!

Let me ask you this, LtBF. If this is the team we have to beat to prove that we have a legit team, and the wind helps us win, does that mean we're still a legit team?

It isn't the chance of rain, the forecast must be looked at in total, and discounted by hours to go.

Best chance is for some showers, but very little rain, with winds 10-15mph.

I'm guessing not much of a factor at all.

This weather is going to be weird tomorrow. Is it going to be shorts weather or wind pants? hmmm....

Wait, wait, wait... You guys are rooting for a bad weather game? I understand some of the logic behind it, it'll slow down Brees, Bills should be able to run on the Saints Def, yadda yadda yadda.

What is the Bills record in bad weather games? Even just cold games? More importantly, when has Edwards won in bad weather games in his lifetime?

I know, I know, he outplayed Cutler in Denver once, but I can remember several games where we lost because of the weather (NE, CLE, CLE...) but I don't think Trents strong suit is playing the cold/rain/snow.

I want a fair weather game, where we would still be able to run the ball down the Saints throat. We need to take a page from Miami and try to do to the Saints what they did to the Colts. I think if we hold the ball for 45 minutes, there's no way Brees can do what Manning and the Colts did.

and as of right now it looks like the rain will be constant all through the tailgating then start to let up just in time for the sun to be out at kickoff

so far trent has completely blown monkey ass gonads in the rain a/o wind

keep your fingers crossed that all the off season conditioning will allow him to throw something other than the powderpuff darts hes had blown all over kingdom come in past bad weather games

*actually throwing into the wind has nothing to do with strength, its all mechanics, so hopefully avp or SOMEBODY has worked with him on that to get the ball to slice thru the wind and precip better

Sunday will start with showers and we should see a break in the rain during the afternoon and that means gametime for the Bills. It will be a breezy day with winds blowing up to 20 mph.
