The Province of Quebec, already considered the cradle of top quality NHL goaltending, has stuck another feather in its cap as the 2003 Stanley Cup Finals begin.
Both starting goalies on hockey's biggest stage hail from "La Belle Province."

New Jersey's Martin Brodeur, from Montreal, is an established 31-year-old superstar with two Stanley Cup rings and an Olympic gold medal. Anaheim's Jean-Sebastien Giguere, 26, has been the rage of this year's postseason. He is also from Montreal.

But these two goalies have much more in common than just the same hometown. Both are disciples of Colorado's Patrick Roy, the acknowledged godfather of the current renaissance of Quebec-bred goalies. Both owe some degree of their success to the butterfly school of goaltending. Each is as comfortable in front of a microphone as they are in front of a screaming slap shot. And, each is the main reason why his team sits four wins from hockey's? greatest glory. CLICK HERE FOR MORE: (http://www.nhl.com/cupcrazy2003/serieso/goalies052603.shtml)
