I wouldn't be surprised if he sees some action.

If he has mobility in the shoulder, they will probably strap him up and put some extra padding on the shoulder and just use him in limited situations. Probably splitting him out in the slot on downs when they are obviously going to pass.

I doubt that they will ask him to do any blocking at all. And may limit him only to a couple of select situations. But, I do think that, if there is any way that he can play, he probably will, even if he is limited.

I expect that Stupar will get many more snaps than Nelson, even if Nelson plays, though.

Nelson sprained his right shoulder last Sunday, but is expected to play against the Saints.
"I'm looking forward to getting on the field more and do what I can to help the team," he said. "We'll miss Derek, but in this league when one guy goes down the next guy has to step in. That's what they are asking me to do, and I'm ready for the challenge."

The "doubtful" was probably based on Nelson (and McCargo) not practicing Friday. But that was probably done to rest him (and McCargo).
