Told a lot of people in the press box are shaking their heads at Jauron for deferring the opening kickoff. Why not take the ball first and try to eat up a drive and make a statement?

My first thought - You can't keep NO offense off of the field if you are going to give them the ball.

I've always liked having the ball to start the second half.

Oh, I know what you're saying, but I think the better play would have been to take the ball and hopefully score and let them know we're here to play today. I'm not saying it would be a 100% the right decision, but I personally wouldn't have wanted to give the Saints the ball.

It's preference thing...I prefer to have a team dictact how the game will go, Dickey prefers to coach not to lose.

So.... If the game is gonna be a blow out, we want the ball first so it looks like it took longer for the opposition to blow us out. But if it's gonna be close, we want the ball at the half?
