View Full Version : Alright! Bring on the Dolphins.

This loss sucks alot because we could have won and had every opportunity to do so. Also, coaching was pretty much awful (4th and one, down by two possessions with 7:00 left and you punt? Give me a break.)

Defense looked good until they quit.

But hey, noone thought we'd win that one anyways, even I who predicted a 10-6 season put us at 1-2 through three games, there are 13 left. we have an even bigger game coming up, because 2-2 is managable, but 1-3 and 0-2 division is not good.

Bring on the fish. Its a must-win!!!!

this is getting hard. of course i want to win, but i don't want there to be a built in excuse to keep jauron longer than we have to. 0-3 in the next three weeks with a piss the game away attitude will bring out the boo birds and be a major problem for the FO.

You'll have people showing up with signs asking to fire jauron. They'll be forced to at least get rid of him.

Understand your point. I went into today's game of course hoping we'd win but still having the expectations of losing. It's gotten to the point that the expectation of losing is such the norm that I dont even get upset like I used to after a loss.

Even if we destroy Miami (which probably wont happen), I'd sadly still find enough to get annoyed at, even if it was as simple as a closeup of his expressionless face on the sideline sucking away the joy of it.

Thank you! This is exactly how I feel! Even when they win, there is still that thought in the back of my mind that eventhough they won, they are not good enough to win against the good teams and this team is not going to win anything. That just isn't a fun way to watch football and that's what having Dickey as HC has done to me.

@ NE- We were easily supposed to lose, we did. The Pats are still a force.

TB- Were supposed to win, we did.

NO- We were supposed to lose, we did.

Sure it would have been nice to steal a game we expected to lose, and we've had our chances, but we need to focus on winning the expected games and capitalizing next chance we get to win against a favorite.

From the looks of it I would say Pennington isn't going to play. I hope Henne can come through and play a solid game. But either way Miami is going to run the ball and do it with success.

Henne does open the offense up due to his big arm so we will have to wait and see how everything plays out with that.

Well we were good in the first two games. Not so much this week.

What bothers me is that it wasn't just bad on the outside (it was horrible on the outside), it was also bad up the middle. Our DT's are usually pretty good against the run. It's usually our LB's running sideline to sideline that is the weakness. Today everything was a weakness, especially at the end.

As a Michigan fan, I would very much like it if Henne started. He's got all the tools to being a decent QB in this league - at least, as good as Trent Edwards, right out of the box.

What do you expect the D to do when they were on the field as long as they were in the second half? The DT's were not the problem it was the LB's.

Well if the defense from this week shows up for the Bills you are going to see your defense cramping up and dropping like flies in the heat this coming week. It may be a 4:00 game but the heat is still very serious down in Miami.

I for one am hoping for the defense that showed up against NO.

This is all rotoworld has:

NFC's Peter King reports that Chad Pennington (shoulder) is doubtful for Week 4 against Buffalo.
Chad Henne is set up for his first career start. "I'm hoping for the best and preparing for the worst," Pennington told the Palm Beach Post. "I'm not saying a lot because I just don't know." Pennington, who may have dislocated the shoulder, will visit a specialist on Monday. An AC sprain like Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford's could cost him as many as 3-4 games.

Joey Porter is probably doing anything but smiling right now. From Chris Brown's blog:

The Bills travel to Miami in Week 4 and may face the Dolphins other Chad (Henne) at quarterback after Chad Pennington left Sunday’s game with a right shoulder injury.
Pennington has had two surgeries on his throwing shoulder for an injured rotator cuff. What lies ahead for the veteran QB remains to be seen, but he left Sunday’s game (http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d812f4db5&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true)against the Chargers.
Joey Porter is also nursing a hamstring injury so the Bills aren’t the only team that figures to be shorthanded this coming Sunday.

Run D appears to be what we are best at. Last week we were #4. This week we'll probably drop b'cse the Saints juggernaut offense got some yardage, but nevertheless, it is our strongpoint - along with protecting the endzone.
