3 more need to go before the start of the season... im really hoping they waive/cut/trade Paille and Tallinder. both are totally useless players.Comment

Mair will be back soon, by mid october. stafford may still play in the season opener. kennedy made the team. paille is the odd man out no matter how you slice it, unless ruff gifts him a roster spot for some reason. 25 isnt that young... in fact, hes less than a year younger than JIRI NOVOTNY, poster boy for sabres busts. regier's main problem is that he holds onto the guys he drafts for way too long, especially first rounders like paille. maybe this is due to his ego, maybe hes brainwashed because campbell finally panned out after like 8 seasons. either way, we always end up with dead weight because he overvalues his own prospects and refuses to cut his losses. trust me, paille is a BUST. he was touted as a leader, a hard hitter, and a high energy player. hes had 3 seasons to prove hes lousy at all three.Originally posted by Dr.Lecter

Can Lydman get cut with an injury? I don't know the rules in the NHL. But rumor has it that either he or Tallinder were going to be the odd man out anyway, so this makes the choice a little easier.

I heard that both Stafford and Mair want to play Saturday so neither would end up on IR. Should be interesting. I really wanted McCormick to make the opening night roster.Comment
