Just so you understand that the problems are above Jauron.

Just a little food for thought:

    When Jauron inherited the team:

Our LBs were: Spikes, Fletcher, and Crowell.

He now has: Ellison, Poz, Mitchell

Our CBS were: McGee and Clements

He now has: McGee and McKelvin

Our DEs were: Kelsay and Schobel

He now has: Kelsay and Schobel

    Our QB was: Losman

    He now has: Edwards

    His RB was: McGahee

He now has: Lynch and Jackson

His receivers were: Evans, Price and Reed

He now has: Evans, Owens, and Reed

    His o-line was crap

    He now has crap

Just curious how the FO helped him out?

Except at LB, I do not see a significant drop-off.

The other positions are mostly improved or at worst the same.

another crappy thread with more excuses.

Yeah it's the FO's fault to punt on 4th down and quit on his team.

        The coach was: Mularkey

        Now it's: Dick Jauron.

        No better.

You just made my point. The team's roster is no better than it was when he got the team.

Please people get more detailed. I didn't list every position.

Point is that the FO has done nothing to help the coach. Nothing. Adding Owens and dimantling the o-line has to be one of the most moronic things ever.

You know what? Trade Edwards and bring Vick in if you don't want to field a team with an offensive line.

              Huh?

              The QB is better.

              The RBs are better.

The DTs are better (Funny, you left that out of your little comparison)

              The WRs are better.

The OLine is young, but will on its way to being better.

So I actually disagreed with your point.

The o-line is not better. I love how people go with "will be better". poz is supposed to better and he can't stay on the field.

You added one WR that is better but has less catches so far than Price.

                  The DTs are better.

Go position by position if you like. I'd love to see it.

There is absolutely ZERO possible ways anybody can justify Jauron being a HC in the NFL. Seriously, don't try...it's a foolish move.

Re: Just so you understand that the problems are above Jauron.

Look at the Patriots. They had the exact same team in 2001 that they had in 2000. They probably had the worst odds of any NFL team in history to make, let alone win the Superbowl. The Patriots have never had many pro-bowl players. Every year it would be somebody different. Brady and Seymore were usually the conistant representatives. They are loaded with blue-collar, SMART players, and always have been. Teams who load up the pro-bowl with 7-8 players every year (Eagles, Cowboys), never get to the big game.

Where I'm getting with this is, coaching is instrumental to a team's success. We have had horrible coaching since Wade Phillips left. The players we've had/have are no excuse to how bad we play. Do they put on the pads? Yes, but they do not call the plays. They do not run the schemes, and they do not manage the game. I said before, that I truly believe our team has very, very talented players. However they are in the wrong scheme defensivley, and our QB has no balls on the offensive side.

If we get a head coach ala Shanahan, Billick, or Gruden, they will change this team around. We need new schemes, and packages. We are such a predictable team, it's sickening.

I'm not buying the FO problem or a player problem. I see a team that should be 2-1 and maybe even 3-0

I'm not blaming the OL because Trent has enough time to throw and Jackson is a top runner in the league after 3 weeks.

the only problem is Jauron. I find it frustrating that anyone would still be defending the clown.

We have a team capable of winning, what we see is a team not driven enough to finish games

A real coach would start winning RIGHT NOW with the guys we have on the field currently. I don't want to hear any lame posts trying to take the heat off of Jauron's poor management of this team.
