Called DirecTv and told them I was unhappy the lack of the Vs. Network and that I wanted to cancel my Auto-renew of NHL Center Ice. The first guy offered me a $50.00 credit and free HBO. I told him I was upset about not being able to see the playoffs (which I am) if they don't get a deal done with Comcast before then and that I wanted to cancel.
He put me through to retentions. I told the lady there I wanted to cancel due to no versus. She told me that I had 14 months left on my current agreement and that the buyout would be $280.00. I told her they would have to credit me for the remainder of my Sunday Ticket and that I would pay the rest with her right then and there.
At that point she offered Center Ice for free. Still bummed about no playoffs but I'll take it
