    Post-draft implications: Quarterbacks

By Ryan E. Houston, Special to SI.com

With the NFL Draft now an afterthought, minicamps under way around the country and quarterback battles just beginning, let’s take a look at some of the promising young talent that will be making an appearance on fantasy rosters this season and beyond.

As many of you know, I am huge proponent of keeper/dynasty leagues. No other type of league gives you reason to monitor the NFL extensively. Considering that these rookies will be the players that make or break your franchise down the road, it is important to grab the right one at the right spot in your draft. Additionally, in some leagues these will be the only players you draft. It is vital to get a good read on who is going to be a viable fantasy option both short- and long-term and what you can expect of them for the upcoming season.

Let's take a look at who will be worth taking a shot at during your draft. I will use the following scale to determine the rookie quarterback rankings:

    Fantasy Impact Rankings
    1-3: Minimal fantasy impact
4-5: Outside shot at contributing this year
    6-8: Marginal fantasy numbers expected
9-10: Fantasy stud in the making
