they have passed the point of no return. they will not recover, in fact they cant recover, as long as dick remains the hc
from this point on they will simply be going through the motions, watching film, going through practices, pretending like hard work will turn this thing around

once your organization has set its pattern in stone the way this one has there is no way to fix it except with a clean slate
until that happens, all this is just a formality, a dysfunctional holding pattern that has everyone holding their breath waiting for the shoe to drop. sustained progress will be impossible because everyone knows the end is now inevitable
these bills the way they are now are permanantly broken. the sooner they just admit that, the sooner they can take the painful steps to start fixing it
