Coach Jauron Takes Blame For Bills' Dreadful Start

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) ― Though Dick Jauron won't discuss whether his job is in jeopardy, the Bills coach blames himself for the team's dreadful start.

On four occasions during a six-minute news conference Monday, Jauron took responsibility for the 1-3 start and what his players called an "embarrassing" 38-10 loss at Miami on Sunday.

"I blame myself," Jauron says, providing a catchall answer regarding Buffalo's sputtering Trent Edwards-led offense, its young and banged-up offensive line and the lack of preparation the team showed against Miami.

he just sees it as part of his job to take the blame. If he really believed it some things would change and he would be improving himself. I've just heard it too many times.

"I blame myself. But with that being said I am going to continue to ill-prepare this team and take responsibility for it every Sunday night. I am also going to continue to collect $3 million dollars this year. I will continue to stand on the sidelines uninvolved and emotionless until I am fired. If I am fired I will still get $6 million in severance pay. So we're going to just buckle up and try harder in practice. We've got to fix those little things. Uh, hold on... let me get another generic cue card saying out. Ok, and we have got to execute. That is all."

This is why this guy will have a job here next year. He keeps taking one for the team instead of saying that "we suck because our front office keeps trading away players before we have to pay them."

This is exactly why Ralph won't fire him. He's a company man.

Last week AVP said 4 times during his interview "I have to find a way to get the WRs involved." That didn't really happen against the fins.

Dick blaming himself will have the same impact on his coaching. None.
