All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
This is only a test
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Good deal for both teams, assuming Cleveland got good value.
When Edwards is on he is a very good receiver and fills the Jets biggest need, a lead WR.
For Cleveland, getting value for Edwards makes sense because they are in full rebuild mode. This year really doesn't matter, they need to stockpile for the future.
I just hope Mangini didn't get bent over like he did on the Sanchez deal during the draft. Cleveland wanted out of the slot, so they took much less value for the #5 pick, getting a 2nd and a couple mediocre players amounts to a ham sandwich.

Agree with this. Smart move on both ends, as long as the Browns got a decent pick.
For the Bills, we'll probably deal Lynch to the Lions for the rights to Ko Simpson.
Mangini get's canned by the Jets based on the poor play of a QB who the suits told him to play and then turns around and makes a 2nd deal that helps the Jets without significantly helping the Browns.
Does he still wear green under his Browns sweatshirt?
Jay Glazer says Jets sent two draft picks, wide receiver Chansi Stuckey and linebacker Jason Trusnik to Cleveland.
I wonder what the picks are. The players are inconsequential, so Mangini better have received decent draft picks.
The Jets are seriously going for it right now, and mortgaging the future to do it. They already traded a #4 that could escalate to a #2 next year for Lito Sheppard. They traded a #7 (conditional) for Kevin O'Connell that looks like they will give up. Now, they give up 2 more future picks.
On top of that, Edwards is a FA, so they will have to sign him to a big deal. That makes me think Cleveland took less in return.
Meh, this reminds me of the roy williams deal. Braylon's a good wr but not elite. He makes them better but I don't think he vaults them into elite.
If you havent noticed they're pretty good and the only reason they're not 4-0 is their rookie QB imploded...he will become more consistent, as will the Jets.
UPDATE: Glazer reports there are two draft picks; Schefter says they're believed to be a third-round pick and a fifth-round pick.
They stole him.
That was probably all they could get because he is in the last year of his rookie deal and is looking for a new contract. Given his off-field issues, that really is about what they could expect.
Edwards is a big guy who likes to make plays vertically. He will open up the field for the Jets and is a good match with Cotchery in terms of skill set. In Cleveland his numbers were down because they were struggling to protect and couldn't get the ball vertical (sound familiar?). In NY, one would think he spreads out the defense and helps their offense.
The risk for the Jets is he drops a lot of passes and is a major prima-donna who thinks of himself on par with Larry Fitzgerald. However, there is not denying he is a big talent upgrade and could really help them.
Edwards is a much, much better talent than Stuckey. But honestly, it seemed that Stuckey had pretty good chemistry with Sanchez. You have to wonder how long it might take Edwards and Sanchez to get on the same page. We'll have to see.
Obviously NY didn't give much up, but he might not help them nearly as much as it would appear on paper. At least, we can hope.

What's up with the Browns always feeding the Jets? Was Mangini sent over to Cleveland by the Jets as a spy? If this was fantasy football we would all be revolting for the two teams being in cahoots.
