He's certainly not the greatest player on the ice, but this is the only guy who plays like he gives a **** night in and night out. He's always throwing his weight around, going to the front of the net, getting involved in scrums, etc.

The rest of this team could learn something from him.

Kaleta plays hard but stupid- he throws his body around and takes himself out of the play. Gaustad won't back down from contact, but he also won't go for the hit if it's going to put him in a bad position.

nah, nothing like LOSman Wins and Kaleta- I'm just saying Gaustad is one of the few guys on this roster that has earned my respect. Again, he's not the most talented guy on the ice but he plays his role and he plays it pretty damn well.

He has been my favorite player for a couple years for the exact reasons stated above.

To be fair to him, he has cut way back on doing that since the midpoint of last year. I used to be all over him about that, but he is getting smarter, albeit slowly.

BTW, Kaleta is a WNY native. Did you know that?????

wow thanks for telling me! I'm printing out color pictures of him on my photo printer so I can create a shrine in his honor right over my TV!
