Everyone knows Fewell is not the answer and if anything this is a lateral move at best because Fewell sucks.
If the speculation is true then the good thing is it puts Buffalo out their as a team looking for a coach so hopefully they start looking before other teams instead of recent history where the other teams take the best coaches and Buffalo gets left with crap.

Actually, there is at least some logic to giving Fewell a shot at it. The only part of this team that has shown anything this season, has been the D. Not only that, but in Bob Sanders, we have an experienced guy who can step in as the Defensive Coordinator.
I'm starting to get the impression that April has been too 'close' to Jauron to just be handed the reins tbh, and I'm also not too convinced that in light of the additional injuries, we aren't going to be cutting some of the ST dead wood.

From a talent standpoint, I think our team has some very capable players, but from a coaching standpoint? We're doomed. And although I hint at our team as being talented, we're still missing a QB, LT, RT, TE, WR. Our offense needs lots of help, hopefully we can salvage some value from our previous failures via trades, etc.

I don't know why this would be suprising to some people. No new coach is going to come in here in the middle of the season. If a HC gets fired during season there's always a promotion from within until the season is over. That basically only gives us two options. Fewell or April. So as much as we all want Dick to be fired, there's no chance of us picking up a coach that we may actually want until the season is over. So if we fire Jauron (which I'm totally ok with) it's Fewell or April, but that's it. This season is pretty much a lost cause.

Rooney Rule I think... have him as interim, give him a token interview then hire someone else. It's unfortunate because I actually like Fewell and I think he has gotten better over the past year or so

April has really, really, really regressed... he inherited a lot of good ST players from the Donahoe era (one thing Tom was good at, guys like Mario Haggan, who is doing really well as a starting linebacker with the Broncos by the way, Josh Stamer, and Coy Wire) once those guys left he has been exposed as an overrated coach

There's only two options for this season as the head coach if Jauron gets fired. That's Fewell and April, cause it would be on an intern basis. While Fewell sucks for the most part, I believe that's not his philosophy of defense out there, it's Jaurons.

Jauron should have been fired at the end of last season. Now we have yet another year lost b'cse Ralph didn't do what he was supposed to.
