Re: Packers sign an Offensive Tackle for help
Russ and the boys are too busy with marketing this bag of crap to actually worry about player personnel issues.Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Originally posted by Mitchell55Also the signing is essentially us signing Walker back, which sounds pretty good right now.
That being said, throwing in the towel at this point is an option to at least consider.

Does anybody realize that Fowler, Preston, and Walker are all out there and available? Nobody in the NFL (or UFL) has these guys that were a fixture on the Bills last year on their roster? Isn't that disturbing?
As for the rest, Peters is doing fine in Philly, but Butler is out for the season, and Dockery is starting in Washington with Mike Williams. As we all know, Washington stinks.

All true, but it doesn't validate the decisions made by the front office that resulted in the current group. The best we can say right now is that the o-line is young and at least they are not paying huge dollars for mediocre or worse performance, as they did with Dockery, et al.

Re: Packers sign an Offensive Tackle for help
How the front office could grossly neglect such an important part of the offense is beyond me. They are as much at fault for our current situations as Jauron and Edwards. There's no reason why any of them should keep their jobs. If Jauron gets fired and we get a whole new coaching staff... it won't matter as long as these bums are still pulling strings.Draft Gabbert at #3!
