...house of cards... Name the last time an NHL franchise gave up 1 goal a game over the course of any season let alone one that lasts 82 games. They'll get eaten alive by the Western teams.

I had this discussion with Op the other day.

We all know they need to score. The good news is that they are generating chances and have gotten 5 points while averaging just over one goal a game.

You would think they have started the season 0-3-0 reading this thread.

It is 3 games into the season.

I think things are going to change.

At least they are winning games they would have lost in regulation last year.

C'mon. For starters, they are using Myers and Butler on the PP. In theory, those two will improve. They are also getting shots (something they did not always do last year). They are crashing the net. They are playing physical.

Besides, would you rather they be boring and have 5 out of 6 points, or exciting and have 3?

they keep scoring 1.33 or even 1.99 goals a game and after 40 games they'll be 15th in the conference.

Good lord, we really are at negativity for the sake of negativity at this point. There is absolutely no other explanation foe expecting the bad to continue while the good suddenly comes to an end. As I already stated in another thread, I'm more than willing to bet that we both start scoring more AND we start giving up more. The question is which o e outweighs the other, and none of us really knows that.

The Redwings are the same way, but they win. Last year we just attacked and lost games at 5-4 and 6-5. We have better shots at winning with the 2-1 games that we keep having.

whatever works. i'm not complaining. especially after a 6-2 Red Wings beatdown. now they've taken 7 out 8 points and bumped up their average to 2.50 goals a game. the puck has to go in sooner or later when you throw as many shots on goal as they do.

During the Caps game, the refs gave the Sabres a lack of Ovenchicken and a lack of Green, and they still can't score?? **** YOU MILLER! That bastard can't score goals to save his life.
