Draft is a former Ram (4th round pick in 1998)

he had a huge year in 2006 but has done nothing since then

Draft has been out of the NFL for a year or two I believe.

Why are we signing backups for the lowly Rams?

That said, these are the types of vets we should have signed before trusting in someone like Corto, or Digi

patmoran2006

Johnson is a former Ram also.

WTF with former Rams

I don't know, but he was with Chicago before that...a connection to Dickey?

Draft was born in '76. Definitely not a young player. At this point we can't be picky I guess.

From what the NFL.com site says, he played last year for the Rams.

So does Draft start on Sunday at OLB? I guess it all depends on if Posz is back. If he is not, Ellison in middle, with Palmer and Draft on the outsides.

LOL...it's gotten so bad that now we're even able to sign players from the Lions, we're sinking even lower to the Rams.

This is just comical anymore.

I highly doubt Draft starts Sunday. question if he'll even be active

Poz will not be back Sunday.

With the safety signed, I think you're looking at Palmer, Ellison and either Corto or Harris.

I actually like that they are vets... we are green as the hills and 13 penalties shows that.

He'll get 3 days of practice. Look at what Braylon did. It's harder to learn plays as a WR then an OLB.

It's gotta be Palmer, Ellison, Harris. Corto should not see the field unless someone is kicking a ball.

Signing players from the Rams has paid out for us in the past. I know you all remember ol Vince Faragamo

Probably Derrick Brooks.

PER PFT:
"With multiple season-ending linebacker injuries on Sunday, the Bills brought in seven of them from tryouts on Tuesday.

Per a league source, the candidates were Chris Draft, Alex Lewis, Patrick Thomas, Anthony Waters, Matt Wilhelm, Leon Williams, and Jamie Winborn.

And the job with the crappy 1-4 team went to . . . Chris Draft.

The Bills also tried out one defensive back, Todd Johnson. And they signed him."

31 other teams, including the Pats who just brought back Seau, have passed on him, too.

Dont disagree.

But they did resign Seau and we wont spend money like they will.

Lets not pretend that we would make a bold move. We know they wont.

Why do I have to do your job for you? Just kidding.

In dire need of defensive depth after several injuries, the Buffalo Bills signed linebacker Chris Draft today as well as safety Todd Johnson.
Draft is a former Chicago Bears draft pick who was most recently with the St. Louis Rams prior to being cut on Sept. 10.
He has previous stints with the Atlanta Falcons, the Carolina Panthers and the San Francisco 49ers.
Johnson has previous stints with the Bears and Rams.
The Bills also cut linebacker Marcus Freeman.

why would Seau come here?

which leads us back to the team...they need a bona fide FO or players will not sign here.

He'd be better than any QB currently on the roster.

He wouldn't.

But the Bills wont or cant make that kind of move. Or both actually.

Merriman is rumored to be on the block again. Would we make a move like that? Hell no.

I wouldnt mind Kitna at all. 1 year ago he had over 4000 yds, 18 TDs, and a 63 CPT. That was for Detroit.

I actually like that they are vets... we are green as the hills and 13 penalties shows that.Weren't 9 of those penalties false starts by the o-line? Four spread out over the rest of the team is not an outrageous number. Still, this is a very young team in a lot of areas, including LB without Kawika Mitchell and safety without Bryan Scott.

i guess signing Draft is about as good as it's going to get. i'm really surprised they didn't go cheaper.
